The Beginnings of a Crayola Quilt

The cats in the garden was the one that inspired me to try this. I fell in love with it immediately when I saw it. The quilt shop was asking $600. for the finished quilt top and another $200. to quilt it. I couldn't afford to spend that much, but I realize it takes so much time to do this...it would be worth every penny! Do you know what you are going to put around the cats when you finish the squares, rectangles? I think the one I saw had purple and blues in calico.
