The benefits of being broke.

Okay, the kick-start is sending me to the fabric store for a first border. I checked out all the fabric I have and nothing is "blowing-my-dress-up" any. I know exactly what I want (have about 1.5 inches of it) so something in that range will get me going again.
I have what I want for the second border, just have to check how much I have. With the way things have been going lately, it won't be enough...
Also getting a backing and a little batting and I'll be back in business.

Stopped at JoAnn's last night to pick up a spool of thread (ran out of bobbin thread to match the backing). I usually try to pick up thread when they are having a sale, but not knowing when that will be, I just grabbed a spool and without a discount coupon. HOLY COW!!! I had no idea thread had gotten so expensive! I'm going to have to take an inventory and get thread the next time they have a 50% off sale! I nearly dropped my teeth when she told me it was almost $5.00 for the medium sized spool!

I have so much stash that I become overwhelmed when I try to incorporate pieces into projects. I am done buying without a project in mind (like right now I watch for browns and pinks for a future quilt, and I take snippits of what I have with me so I won't buy outside my color zone and end up with more stash.) 2010 and 2011 is my years for UFOs, WIPs, and unused fabric!
