Thanks to you all for your comments. This block was really fun to do, because as you can see, depending on the color combos that you use, you can get a different looking block. I'm a fan now of the big block look. This pattern came from Better Homes and Gardens Creative Collection
American Patchwork & Quilting, June 2008.

That's just gorgeous! I wish I had had something that nice on my twin top bed when I was growing up.

My mom didn't start quilting until I was 38 years old and she didn't show me how to do it until I was 40! I haven't known to appreciate fine things like what you've made until I was all "growed" up.

That's just beautiful. Of course, you do need pillows to match.

Smaller versions of the squares, of course.

Hi neighbor, ORegon is so close to where I live on Vancouver Island. My son used to visit his girlfriend in Portland. Your signature sunset or sunrise photo is gorgeous.
Hi Dawn, Sorry I didn't see your howdy on the 19th. I am finally going back & getting to some of my e-mails back that far. My avatar is a sunset taken from my backyard. Sometimes I can get a photo of a sunrise, but our location is better for sunsets as we face towards the west. Where exactly is Vancouver Island?? Is it on the Columbia river?
