Ooooooo....I like this!!! Sometimes I'm not a huge fan of quilt with a variety of blocks in them (just personal taste - I still appreciate ALL of the work that goes into them!) but this one is great! Now I need to figure out WHY I like this so much
Maybe the small scale prints/ solids, the balance of the color intensity...not sure. Do like the friendship stars in the sashing strips for sure!

yes, the big boy quilt was made for a grdsn who will be 3 dec 24. he graduated to a twin bed. i have pretty much watched him for his working mom since he was born, but he started day care/preschool at the local school. thus, i can sew again. the ones i made for last xmas were D9P's. simply, easy, so i could churn them out in the evenings.
the BBQ was a kit from a LQS, and i added the blue with stars like in the border to increase the size.
