Just curious. Did you use a certain fabric line? I always look at someone's project and want mine to look the same! Job well done.

What an awesome bag. I love totes, especially ones big enough to carry projects or supplies to a class. Thanks for posting the pattern.

WOW, great bag, I think you could carry a small child in there it's so large. Just kidding, but it looks like the perfect tote to carry all your beach items, including the blanket to sit on.

I bought an inexpensive pack of 2 1/2" X 42" strips from Wal-Mart. I think I paid $10.95 for the pack of 24 strips and it's 100% cotton. The company that made the pack is Fabric Editions, Inc. The pack is called SLICES and the fabric is Exotic Batik Slices.

    Thanks and enjoy!

I made this bag last week, it is huge! When I was cutting out the fabric I realized how big it was going to be. I was afraid the handles would not give enough support to the bottom of the bag. So, I used premade webbing from JoAnn's in a bright color and sewed it down the sides and on the bottom in one long piece. I'm short, so I made the handle short so the bag wouldn't drag on the floor as I carried it. I can still carry it as a shoulder bag also.

Your bag is beautiful! Love the bright colors, and the pink polka dot lining.
