Default A big hug for Daddy - my valentine

Dad is 84 now. He's been alone for a number of years. I don't get to visit very often - distance, work, etc. So I want him to have a hug from me whenever he needs one. I found inspiration in a recent magazine as it looked quick and easy - and I hardly ever use someone else's pattern. Three weeks start to finish for a hand quilter is REALLY quick. I was able to incorporate all the colors in his family room and lots of homespun that I've been collecting from the remnant bin. My daughter's reaction was - Mom! you've never made anything like this before. True that. But he is unlike anyone else either.
