    I found that when I looked at my patterns ...the original was a small tree ornament and I enlarged it greatly for the pincushion..I could scan the small pieces and share that..they were very cute in red for cardinals

    I made one of these yesterday, but wanted to ask how the tail goes together. Mine doesn't seem to look quit right. Alls do you use batting when making these. Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to sewing crafts.

    I turn the edge of the tail in about 1/4" and slip it over the raw edge of the body at the tail end and hand stitch it in place and I just used polyfil to stuff them

    Thank you for sharing. I belong to a pincushion group and have not tried a bird yet; and it would be nice in Christmas colors. I'm originally from CT, a very small town called Bethany.
