    this is a really cute bird! i saw a chicken pin cushion once -- tried googling for the pattern with no luck ..... this bird was cut from one rectangle and one square for the head, body and wings, with a comb, beak and tail added on. i made one anyway, that resembled the chicken pincushion, but now way was it as cute as this bird. thanx for the pattern!

    I, too am enjoying getting into homemade pin cushions. Thanks for posting the pattern. I will add a picture if and when I get one made. I might have to make a cardinal first since we do not have them here in southeastern Idaho. :-(
