I guess I have to add the last post to this thread to announce that it won a "Best in Show" ribbon, (that I am sharing in another thread I won "Best in Show" that reads):

May I blush and brag that I have won 3 ribbons on my Birdie Memory Quilt that I finished last April: first Place, Grand Champion and Best in Show. I entered it in our local Salem Fair that is the largest fair in the state of Virginia with 250,000 to 300,000 people walking through the gates and using 80 registered judges in the exhibits. It is their 31st year coming to our area. Since so many of ya'll gifted me the charms used in the quilt (for my birthday), and taught me techniques I used in the quilt, it is like we all have won as a team. Thank-you all, again, for being my friends and sharing you ideas through the years.

I don't know when I have seen anything so creative and beautifully done - from design to quilting! That is an amazing quilt, and will be a family treasure. Congratulations on such a wonderful quilt. Thank you for sharing!
