Then make one for each child so that when it's their turn to showcase the quilt, they can go back and remember all the details and why you made each block. Long after you and your children are gone, this will continue to be a family treasure of memories. I am so in awe of your quilt......happy tears!
Dear Barb, Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, there are secret details in each quilt block that are too intimate to share with the public, often found on the birdie's t-shirt or in the background. And even though we know them today, will the next generation know them? probably not. But they are worth keeping and treasuring in the family. Thanks for the kind words.

This is one of the most fabulous quilts I have ever seen, both for its significance and for its beauty and workmanship. Talk about an heirloom!! What a treasure!!

What a wonder quilt! So many memories! I agree with Barb...pictures and stories in a book for future generations.
