I just bought the pattern for the Birdie Sling Bag today. Are they hard to make? Your bag is gorgeous!

No not hard to make at all. Once you get it all cut out it goes together pretty quick. have you started on yours yet?

No, I haven't even looked at since I first bought it. I'm getting things ready for a craft festival that will be in Nov. and that's kept me pretty busy with sewing projects. I do plan on making one as soon as the festival is over. It looks complicated to me, but hopefully it will be as you say & go together quickly.

I love, love, love making bags & this one is just beautiful! I love your tone-on-tone monogram - it's a perfectly subtle personal touch. The prairie point on the snap happy bag is really cute, too.

One question - does this pattern involve pattern pieces or measure & cut? I don't enjoy pattern pieces anymore & try to avoid patterns that have them if possible.

There are pattern pieces. I haven't made the bag, yet, but have the pattern. I like making the Bow Tucks and the instructions for the sling bag seemed more complicated, but I haven't made it.

Thanks. Maybe I'll continue to use my cute bag patterns withOUT pieces for now. I just finished this one from V & Co. . No pattern pieces & it's a super-cute bag. I pieced the front & I like the look with a different fabric in the pleated area.
