Anael your quilt is stunning and your hand quilting exquisite, I am sure as you sit and stitch there will be a lot of memories come flooding back to you, each one will be lovingly stitched into this quilt in memory of you mother.

Beautiful job - truly a labor of love to be cherished by generations! Don't forget to put a really complete label on it explaining everything for everyone who looks at the quilt in the future. I was saddened when finding a number of beautiful hand quilted quilts in my grandmother's home after my uncle's death with no idea who made them, where they lived and what the occasion was for the quilt.

My Oh My, Anael ... splendid work! Some beautiful intricate stitching .... and some unique designs to the quilting. It is going to be a real treasure when done ... and I'm sure a real trip down memory lane as you work your way thru the quilting! ENJOY the process ....... and before long, you will have it finished!

Your quilt is lovely. I love that you are making it in memory of your mom! I hope you continue to post your blocks as you proceed. You have given me an idea that might help me... as I lost my dad recently. It might help me if I can create another project in commemoration of him. I already made him a 'Thank you for your Service' quilt for his 90th birthday. Maybe it will help if I start another quilt in his memory.
Love your quilt and the memorial to your Mom, thank you for the idea!

Divokittysmom, just do it when the time is right. It might take a while but you'll know when that will be.

Here's what I did today. Stitched all around the flowers and leaves and did some echo quilting.
The picture is a bit yellow because it's already 10 pm here so no daylight anymore.
