Thank you all for your lovely comments! Yes, lots of memories, some make me sad but most make me smile
@dlong: it was part of the block so I had to redo it but I could use the leaves again so it wasn't a big problem.
Here's the last block for today: Martha Washington's Wreath. I found out I don't like needle turn applique so I fused the parts and when all applique blocks are finished I will stitch them on my machine.

Thank you QuiltE! I'm not almost done, there are quite some smaller blocks I still have to do and there's the border! Yes, I never hand quilted before, this is my first attempt at it.
