Default Birthday Basket of Flowers Table Runner

The following is a table runner I just completed...I began the project three years ago with a pattern from a quilting book from the library.

While spring cleaning the sewing room I found the zip top bag with all the little bags holding the little triangle and squares reading to sew. Good thing I still had pieces of fabric to match, because some of my cuts left much to be desired!

UGH! I much prefer the new method of sewing half square triangles (which I didn't know how to do back then), but I persevered! Plenty of sewing, ripping out and sewing again. I was surprised that the finished product lines up as well as it does.

I'd make it again - only with 4 squares for a center piece.

I've learned lots of patience since I began this journey into piecing and quilting.

That is a very pretty spring runner. I agree a 4 block would make a nice centerpiece.
