No have not heard of these either. We live in Russell, about 1 hour west of Salina and 1/2 hour east of Hays. I will have to look these towns up.

These fabrics came in a bundle. The shop had a sample quilt hanging and I just fell in love with both the quilt and the fabrics. My sister really loves the quilt. She said that some of the fabrics remind her of our mom who passed away 2006.

I saw this quilt pattern as a sample quilt on the wall of a fabric shop. I just drew out on paper what it looked like, so I'm sure there must be a pattern some where. Very easy, NOT POSSITIVE without looking at my paper but I believe I cut my rectangles (or bricks not sure which you call them) 8 x 5-1/2 Inch, sew 6 bricks together in row of 3 by 2. Then when you join your block of 6 together just turn every other one so the next one would be 2x3 rows. Hard to explain, but once you look closely you will see what I mean. Thanks, and she was totally surprise and love it

Yes you are right, it does look brown but is lavenders. Here is a close up of the quilting and the color is better. I think it was too sunny out when I took the picture. Won't let me add a photo with my reply, I'll see if I can add it to my other pictures. Thanks.

I answered this for another posted question, maybe you can read that so I don't have to retype it. Thanks.
