Black sashing is great. Don’t cut the borders smaller. This is a perfect size for these blocks. Plus gives you a lot of space for quilting.

That came out great! The black sashing looks phenomenal. I don't ever think you should cut down on the size of the quilt, they can never be too big. Love it!
