I also have this pink with the small geometric design. It's not quite as bold as the other HOT pink. Which do you think would look better?

Thank you everyone for your help! I had an idea when I picked that pink that it wasn't really "BRIGHT". I should have gone with my gut feeling and made the block with the really bright, HOT pink. Thank you for being so tactful and nice about letting me know!

Thank you! You are indeed fairly close to me! We often go to West Marine in Crystal River when we need something for the sailboat or just to walk along the beach. I'm glad you liked my block. I rather surprised myself because the block came from a book of blocks which showed various blocks and gave a little history; but didn't break them down and actually show how they were put together. I have still considered myself very new and still learning; but I did manage to figure out how to put this block together! Sorry, I hope that didn't sound like bragging. I have been wanting to learn some new blocks and I'm finding it hard to believe I just taught myself a new one! Praise God! I am teachable!

I know it has been some time since you posted your Dove in the Window quilt but I just started one and needed some help. I have the first block made and now I need to know how to put the blocks together. Did you pick up a color from the block or introduce a new color? My block is sage, pink and yellow. I was thinking of picking up a black with a small pattern in the same colors. I love the pattern but I went a tad bit crazy for one of the material I am using is a stripe with all the colors. That means I have to do a mirror image on the other side of the middle block. My middle block is a larger flower pattern. Will you let me know what you did? Thanks
