    The quilt is really beautiful, I think two color quilts are underutilized. I really am impressed with the simple border that you used, it adds so much more! Great job, I bet your MIL just loves it.

    This is how you do the center block:
    They are 2 1/2"squares, then each corner is a black 1 1/2" square (snowball block).
    Also attached is the pattern information: You can get it at www.rainbows-end.com
