Last week I was totally stressed because I was trying to get my two granddaughter's quilts done for Christmas. Then my brand new Brother machine froze up on me and had to go back to the dealer for repair (which he still has!). When I realized I wasn't getting them done it was such a relief and the stress of being on a timetable was gone. So I dug out my old machine and decided to do a few little things for Christmas instead. Today I made a placemat and mug rug for my mom and a little zippered wallet/make-up bag. I'm almost wishing he won't get the new machine done until after the holidays!! That way I won't be tempted to pull out the two unfinished quilts.

Pretty! And I know exactly what you mean about stressing over gifts. Every year I tell myself that next year will be different - LOL!

I guess that is a good/bad situation. Glad you can enjoy the season a little bit more. But, those tops sure are cute.

I just hate stressing over gifts, which is why I start very early with Christmas presents. Although, ofcourse, I see something else I want to make or buy, but I tell myself, that'll be for next year. I'm done for this year, but already thinking about next year!!!!!

You have made some beautiful things. I quit stressing weeks ago. I have so MANY things to get done and no motivation to do any of it. So I just quit. Back in Oct I did a sewing marathon and finished 5 quilt tops in a few weeks....now they just sit...and wait for the motivation to find me again.....maybe tomorrow..maybe not.. =)
