    Isn't it interesting how color placement changes a block's looks?

    I have done that also. I used the same section for all the blocks and they came out fine.

    thank you Barb. I appreciate you finding it for us and yes the fabric colors sure can make a block look different.

    The reason I wanted to cut so much off if I could besides to square up was, she wanted a smaller throw size. We will see. I just told her I’m not quilting huge quilts anymore. My shoulder and back won’t let me.

    I now understand why you want to cut that much off of the blocks. But if you do that, you will lose the points and perhaps a lot of the rust colored outer pieces, won't you? In order to maintain the pattern, won't you have to deconstruct and reduce the length of the "legs" from the inside rather than trimming as it is now?
