Default Block & Strip Quilt in Neutrals

I made this for my sister who is about to finish up her doctorate in nursing administration. I even got a label on this one to mark the event! Her favorite colors are off-white, beige, and sand. So neutrals all the way. I got the pattern from Rob at Man Sewing:

I like his color combo better, but it wasn't a quilt for me. I bought a layer cake of off-white by Moda and a jelly roll of small primatives also by Moda. I still have half of each left. It measures 60 X 60 and I backed it with an extra wide piece from the LQS. I had it long armed in a "flow" design using off-white thread. I thought the pattern would be more striking on the back, but it actally really highlights the front and gives it a modern feel. I think she's going to love it!

    Thanks for looking!

Well done. Not my color choices either, but it makes good sense for your sister.
