    You could enlarge it by adding 2 borders .The first one in the light brown and the last one in the dark brown.they could be 4in and 6in.This would give a nice area for some quilting.You could consider corner stones that use the center design in the blocks.I would not use red unless it was less than 1 in. there is enough warmth already in color.You have done a great job.

    Hi gcathy! Nice to "see" you on the board. Love your new quilt. I am sure you will audition some different border optoins and come up with soemthing perfect for you quilt ending. You have such talent.

    That's what I thought of right away, too. The center would really pop, the red would get just enough play, and the brown would be very soothing. GREAT WORK!

    What about a 2 1/2" white/beige [to end the design], then 3 or 4 1/2" red, and 5 or 6 1/2" brown/black. That would add to the size.

    I think a border using the element in the sashing only in the red for the shape and the tan for the outside would be awesome. Then surround that by a dark brown final border and binding. Of course you would lose the square where the sashing comes together, so you could even eliminate that one square all together or leave it in and just not have the part where the sashing coming to join it adds in.
