    It looks like the steps are crossing a 3D pool (or something), I love all the blues in your quilt.

    Yikes, I can see why all the 'swearing' under your breath, and not so under your breath! That calls for precision quilting. Really wonderful pattern, but I can see how demanding it was. Your husband is a lucky man to get that quilt!
