Blue scrappy for my FIL
#152
I put a label on it and wrote his name in permanent ink. I was thinking about embroidering it on there somewhere as well. I also am sending a note and a permanent ink pen to my sister in law with the quilt so she can write any other info they might need on it. She will be taking it to him. They all live up in Washington.
I actually liked the flannel backing and it was easy to quilt. I was worried it might not slide as well, but it did fine.

two words of advice, if your FIL is in a nursing home make sure you have his name on the quilt and put a sign on his closet door telling the staff NOT to put his quilt in the facility laundry, wash it yourself. I made a quilt for my father and the nursing home lost it.

You are a very special lady to do this. What a great way tokeep him warm and comfortable. Be sure to put his name on it. Thank you forshareing his story. Prayers should be sewed into it. It looks so good I bet he will love it.
