    Just finished hand quilting another unique quilt. This belongs to a customer from Arizona. She says the flour mill still uses these cloth sacks.

    (She will do the handwork on the binding.)

    Beautiful, reminds me of the quilts my mother and grandmother used to make from sacks in the 40's.

    What a great idea in using the feed sacks that way...aren't quilters just so creative?!!! Very nice.

    You did a beautiful job on this quilt, Martha! And the lady from Arizona didn't lie. They do still use these sacks. They have some of the best flour (all kinds) in the world. Anytime I am in New Mexico I have standing orders from 6 people for the 50# bags.

    This mill produces wonderful flour. It is preferred by the locals for baking.
