Bluebirds Fly
Here is my latest finish. I used 2.5" squares to make the Margot Languedoc Designs "Feathers" birds. http://www.thepatternbasket.com/catalog.htm?item=214 I just love that bird pattern. I think I counted 32 pieces of fabric in each 8" bird block and no repeats thanks to the Birthday Swap.
The third picture shows a closeup of my first try at piping on the outer border. I was supposed to cut off everything to the right of the piping to make Susan Cleveland's curvy edge binding but decided that I didn't want to do that. This became my hybrid piping technique. LOL!
The fourth picture is the backing that I used. I found this sheet on sale and decided that it needed to be put on the back of a bird quilt.

What a beautiful masterpiece. You have a great eye for color placement. And, all the little changes just make it more you. I love it. Truly an inspirational piece. Thank you for sharing your talent.
