    If it were me I would find fabric in that blue shade mottled in the green fabric but a really narrow border like an inch. Then a wider purple then the green fabric.

    You could take your boo boo, hand or machine embroider your quilt date and your name on it. It would make it look intentional if it keeps glaring at you.
    I didn't see it right away either.
    But I know what you mean you know it is there. more than likely, not another sole at your house would ever see it.
