I posted pics over the weekend of the tube quilt top I pieced. It was made by making tubes out of 6 strips, then cutting them diagonally...

Well, there was very little waste, just a small triangle on each tube end. I couldn't just throw those away! So I trimmed them and connected them into a baby quilt. It turned out about 23" x 34", so I'll add some white borders to make it a tad bigger before quilting it, then bind it with some extra Bliss fabric I have.
I even saved the bits I trimmed when squaring up the blocks, and will have enough to put two scrappy "stripes" across the back of the baby quilt. I love to add a surprise on the back.

That was a great idea. Love both of your quilts, so crisp and cool looking. Wonderful job.

What a great job; and oh so frugal. This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
