I vote for the orange and blue combo as well!

Love your quilt! It is gorgeous. I would either have the purple looking fabric and blue or orange and blue. I think that either of these two colour combinations will work.

I think the orange lying next to the purple is a good choice. The other is too orange.

I have a little bit of the magenta, but not enough for a border. I was playing with the black and blue and am still trying to figure out a way to work it in if I can.

My favorite colors are orange and blue and this quilt really uses them. I hate to use another blender in this already really full of solids quilt, which is why I've been arguing with myself about the orange and blue - since the orange tends to blend in with the quilt more and not make it pop as much as the golds or purple. Let me grab the camera again and show you what I mean.

Did I mention... I started this out as a queen, so have enough blocks for another quilt the same size. Both quilts are going to charity.

This one is for the child is us all, and the other one is for the bold and daring in us all. It has an African/Mexican bold print in the same hues which really didn't go with the dolphin print, so I opted to make two smaller quilts instead of one big one. So, with the comments thus far, I'll be able to incorporate all of the ideas...see there is a method to my madness...he he he!

And ruck9085, you are right about the orange. The one laying next to the blue has more of a red tone to it. While I like the way it pulls in the colors of the dolphins with the other prints, it just doesn't quite go.

Based on all comments, I think I've found the combo to use. Now to actually DO it! Pictures to come when I get the top finished.

I agree, orange inner border and blue outer border.
