No we make up patterns in our computers then we download them onto a sd card. Then that goes into a Q-Bot which tell the stitch regulator and the quilting machine what to quilt. The patterns are 4" tall because that is all I can quilt. The quilting machine's throat is only 9". When you put on a queen size quilt if your pattern is bigger than 4" then you would have to turn them. Most of the King size quilts have to be turned. So in order to quilt the quilt we do a 4" pattern on all the quilts. That way we have room to quilt the whole quilt. The more you roll the bigger the roll gets in your throat. Would love to have a long arm to go with the rest of my setup. Some day I will and then the sky will be the limit.

Love your quilting on all three! The first quilt I ever made was a bow tie, many moons ago.
