    Default Bowling Pin Turkeys

My mom came to me with an article about making these turkeys and asked me to make 12 of them.
So this is what I have been working on lately. Finely got all but one of them done. I still have one to make for a friend of mine but I can do that later on. Then I kept one for me.

These are going to my 3 kids and the 3 oldest grands who are married. Then one goes to my aunt and one goes to a 95 yr old lady who mom is friends with.
2 were made and given away a couple of weeks ago so that makes 12 in all!

They are bowling pins we had in the shed. These mom got for a $1 at a yard sale several years ago. Mom painted them brown and I made the tails and added the faces and the ties. I prefer the ties but Mom liked some without.

Those are really cute, but what do you use them for?? They would make good doorstops....

They are for fall decoration. I collect turkeys so I kept one for me. My mom wanted me to make them so she could give them to family and friends for their decorations. It's like a wreath You just sit it with a pumpkin or other turkeys corn gourds etc.

I also have gourds that are part of my fall collection. They are plastic etc and I am going to try using a gourd instead of the bowling pin and see how that comes out.

I guess if you can find it, a paper mache (?) bowling pin would do ya. I love it, so cute. I like the tie too
