Breast cancer quilt...my first quilt

Anyone who says winning isn't everthing has never beat cancer. I'm an eight year survivor. and eight years cancer free. Congratulations to you and I love your quilt. I bet your son is very proud of you.

When my son was 4 months old, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
The flower yo-yo's represent lymph nodes, the buttons cancer cells. 25 lymph nodes were removed, 23 lymph nodes were positive for cancer.
One of the lymph nodes the cancer broke through.
This quilt is a work in progress, I still need to represent the chemotherapy, radiation therapy and bone marrow transplant.
This story has a happy ending, my son will be starting college this month.
