This is my very first quilt.
It's about my journey through breast cancer.
When my son was 4 months old, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
The flower yo-yo's represent lymph nodes, the buttons cancer cells. 25 lymph nodes were removed, 23 lymph nodes were positive for cancer.
One of the lymph nodes the cancer broke through.
This quilt is a work in progress, I still need to represent the chemotherapy, radiation therapy and bone marrow transplant.
This story has a happy ending, my son will be starting college this month.

You go girl! Glad to hear a success story! I, too, am a cancer survivor -- mine was colon cancer -- that was 14 years ago!

    The quilt is wonderful!!!!!
