I took the Dresden Plate quilt to my DSIL this past weekend and she was speechless. Well, thanks to my DH, his neice, that the family hadn't seen in 15 years was also there. She is a very special young lady, as her Mother passed away when she was 3yrs old and needless to say, my DH's family was devasted. All I can say, is thank God I always keep an extra quilt or two kicking around, because on Thursday DH says "wouldn't it be neat if you had a quilt for Bridget too. I don't know this young lady, her tastes or colour preferences, but, I thought what the heck. This is Bridget with her new quilt.

This is a beautiful quilt and a lovely niece. How wonderful that she is exploring her family relationships. Thank you for sharing.

Nothing like a quilt to make one feel like a special member of the family. She now has a forever hug from you everytime she cuddles up in it.
