The quilt is so pretty with the pattern of big squares combined with the nine patch squares. The ensemble will be beautiful. Why don't you consider making your bed skirt so you can get exactly the color you want? I have made lots of them. I determine the depth I need for the dust ruffle. Add 4 1/2 inches (2 inch double hem plus 1/2 seam allowance for attaching the skirt to the base. Cut and join enough sections (cut crosswise from the yardage) to provide 2 1/2 to 3 times fullness for 3 sides of the box spring. You usually don't need the skirt to go across the head of the bed because it is hidden by the head board. If you need it split at the back corners factor this in. Hem the entire piece (or 3 sections) and gather the top with a ruffle attachment or pleat the entire skirt. The last one I made I used 'fork pleats'. (Find directions on You Tube-easy to do). I attach the skirt to a fitted sheet that I put on the box spring. I measure and mark a line for attaching the ruffle. It will never hang funny or slide around.
