I fell in love with this block the first day I joined this forum, back in May. Ranger said she did not mind my copying her Avatar, and even gave me the size of her blocks. I immediately started it and had the top finished in a week or so. It was going to be for my DGD Brittany who's 26th birthday is tomorrow. I of course did not quilt it until the past two days...I am a good pressure worker. Brittany has one of my first quilts that I made from fabric purchased in Intercourse, PA. I was limited by the amount I had gotten; thus it's a very small lap quilt. Six months ago she said, "When everyone in the family has their first quilt, do you think you could make me a little bigger one? I am always cold!!"
Tomorrow I will take this darling granddaughter to lunch and give her this quilt to be an eternal hug from me.

This is so pretty. I love the colors and the block really shows it off. What a great label too :) :)
I'm making my eldest GD a quilt (not for Christmas)...since her last two quilts were a baby quilt and a quilt for a little, little girl :).

Is there anything more fun than making these for our "other kids"???

It's beautiful, Jeannie! I especially like the textured fabric...the star fabric. It really adds that extra punch. I also like your use of the green and 'star' fabric for the borders.

Wish I could see it 'in person'.

Your DGD is going to love it.
