Hey! I started with a Patchwork a year ago. My local Bernina store lets you trade them back in and upgrade within one year. So, I just traded up and got the 220!!! They give you full trade in what you paid in the first place. It is such a wonderful machine. Congratulations!!! Enjoy.

Bernina's are the "Cadillac" of sewing machines. The starting price point (when on sale in my area) is around $820.00 (sale price) for the opening price point model. sometimes you can catch a great 'used' model sale event. You can trade your Bernina up when you like, so that's where the dealers get the used ones- they were 'trade ups'. Check out your local Bernina dealer. They are the best, expensive, but the best.
    Kind Regards,
    MaryAnna
PS. Yes they do have layaway, that's the only way I could afford mine, it was on sale and then layaway!

I think I'm getting carried away. Best get to my housework and shopping with DH (I guess that's Dear Husband???)
Yes, that's the big draw.....the way they just purr along, quietly, with no complaints. I love the powerful feed dogs- the best i've ever had! They just grip and pull the fabric away- even quilts- no problem, no pulling or pushing..... just love it. Well worth the money. And I hope I'm still singing the praises in another 5 yrs, I believe I still will be- all my sewing friends think so.

It was my birthday splurge for me! It's a 'turning point' birthday this weekend....and oh how I wish I could turn back the hands of time and go back and correct all the foolish mistakes......oh well, I've got my Bernina now since I can't go back in time.

    Kind Regards,
    MaryAnna
