Debbie & Carol...I believe it is called Buckeye Beauty and can be found on quiltercache http://www.quilterscache.com/B/BuckeyeBeautyBlock.html I am guessing it might be known by other names and for variations google images is very helpful.

Thank you all for your kind comments, I did have a few mismatched points but after FMQ it didnt seem so glaring. My friend,for whom this is a gift, seems to love it and that is what really matters.
