burn mark on quilt, all gone!!
#11
The suggestion I tried first was the peroxide and hot iron, I could see that the mark was fading, so I kept doing it until I guess it was too much for the damaged fibers and I ended up with a hole.
I could not replace the square because I did this as a quilt as u go sort of.
I pieced the center and quilted it, then I pieced the top and bottom and quilted them and sewed to middle. Lastly I pieced both sides and quilted and sewed to them. So the front was squares, but the backing was bigger pieces. Clear as mud, right.
To answer your question, I think I just put too much peroxide. Another lesson learned from my mistakes.
Anyway, it came out ok in the end.

You did the best to solve the problem. Like you, I would have tried all the suggestions but in the end, with the hole and all, yes, I would have done the same thing. You are a meticulous person and that proves it.
Congratulations for the patience and perseverance!!!

OH wow !! you are a real quilt master !! to save a burnt quilt !!
Blue pencil.. where did you get it?? not to ask for a specific store, but is it a pencil that anyone would pick up any where???
I have often wondered how much to rely on pencils ect.. .. so thought to test first but have yet to trust any of them and would really like to know something I could trust.. I will need a guide soon to complete my quilt soon.
