Seeing your beautiful watercolor reminded me of another place I get fabrics for quilting. At the thrift stores, I always look in the ladies housecoats for the dusters that are made of cotton. You know, the kind that usually have short sleeves and are most often either solid color or a floral print. Generally they snap up the front, but occasionally they might zip or button. There is lots of fabric in one of these, and the floral prints are often lovely pastels, but you can find fun bright colored ones too.

Just gorgeous! I made one 12 years ago for oldest son and his wife's tenth anniversary. Made two more after that. I loved the process and how it lends itself to whatever you want it to look like.
