    Default Butterfly Garden Lap Quilt

I got a machine quilting book from the library and learned how I am supposed to be doing it. So this is a little practice lap quilt. My friend made the 4 center squares last year. This was a lot of fun, even if my SID looks more like meandering. I did ivy vines around the dark green and ivy with split veins in the outer border. I LOVE my freehand butterflies! I hand-stitched the binding onto the back. It's far from perfect but happily I'm not a perfectionist. :-) I can see that with the right equipment I could do this every day!

Julie- being the friend who gave you the 4 orphan blocks I'm really glad to see them put to use! I love those butterflies!! I'm going to give them a try! I'm glad the quilting bug is one we were bitten by!
