Butterfly Quilt for my Daughters Birthday
Just finished this machine embroidery applique butterfly quilt for my daughters 30th birthday. The background fabric is Fairy Frost and I used batiks for the rest.
The embroidery designs are Crystal Butterflies from Secrets of Embroidery.
I FMQ'ed this on my Pfaff Expressions 3.0, took me about 2 weeks for the quilting.
Did not follow a pattern just worked it out as I went along.
The second photo shows up the quilting a lot better

MiraB ... every time I see this quilt, I appreciate it more and more! The batiks are such a perfect choice for the butterflies, to give them a more realistic look, than a regular fabric ever could. And the glisten of the FF, amazing. So, if they are Crystal Butterflies, are you adding crystals too?
