Can anyone identify this quilt block pattern?

To me it looks like those signature blocks that I see so often lately where there is a light colored area diagonally across the block, with a darker print on either side. Only, in the block in the picture, the area that would have been for the signature is the darker print fabric and the half triangles on either side are the lighter prints. Then it looks like four are put together with the signature area points coming together in the center to form an X. Then a sashing around the newly formed X block. (make sense?) Ann

This quilt was stolen from me in the late 1980's and was made by my father's mother. She passed in the early 1940's. The sashing was light blue, the setting blocks and binding were pink, the backing was white, cotton batting.
Ignore the person and the room and try to visualize the quilt if you can. It is difficult. Sorry.
