Thanks for that... it's really cool to hear the reasons behind why something is prefered.
ROFLOL ... I know what you are talking about - -since I also raised four children. Even since they have left home, white and I are not friends ... if I wear white ... it is like I have some kind of dirt magnet on! If I helped at all, I am glad. You are doing a beautiful quilt.

    LOL
Yep, I avoid white because of the kids, and black because of the dogs (who leave white hair on everything).

And thanks, this quilt is very special, can't wait to finish it.

You could base your choice (if you are keeping it for yourself):
Do I want another quilt similar to my other classic quilts? Blue and white
Do I want something with a little more pop? yellow or green
Do I want something in between those 2 themes? red/blue/white
Any way you pick, you have a gorgeous quilt

Ok I love the red, but I am a primary color lover. You are going to get a different opinion from everyone so I am going to tell you what one of the girls told me when I was trying to decide on a pattern for my next quilt.
ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR FIRST CHOICE!
The blue and white is beautiful too and very classic in its design. So if that is your first choice then I would go with that.

I like the blue and white....the only thing I would try and make the center white and see how that would look.
What ever you decide will be good..all were good.

Red and blue or white and blue. The red one looks vibrant but the white looks soothing. All depends of what your going for
