Here’s another picture of one of the crumb blocks I made for DH’s crumb quilt. This is the 1st quilt I’m making for DH and long overdue for him. I love scrap quilts because of their beauty and while making them I get to see lots of different fabric :-P How hard is it to make a crumb quilt, right? I find it difficult to just grab any piece of fabric without looking and sew but get brave sometimes and ‘throw caution to the wind’ :-P Guess I like to control my scrap quilts a bit but it makes for a slower process. Anyway, I started feeling that the blocks are all the same which of course isn’t true for a crumb quilt. So to add some diversity and do something different I made a ‘LOVE block’ for DH’s quilt :-P No pattern just did it as I went. The ‘L’ in Love doesn’t have enough contrast and doesn’t stand out but I know it’s there. I’m going to make another one that says JOY and have also started a house block. Just doing it as I go and making it work. Hope you like the 'Love' block.
GREAT LOOKING - I LOVE this colorful quilt & it certainly says "Love".
I hate to sound stupid, but being new to this msg. board, what does DH mean?
DH stands for dear husband. I don't know all the abbreviations either. I'm glad you like the LOVE block.
Thanks - I kinda wondered if that's what it meant, but @ 77 I can't even begin to keep up w/all the abbreviations out there today.
Here is a link that tells you what quilt abbreviations are :-P
http://quiltinggallery.com/2009/04/2...ters-acronyms/ You could search here for abbreviations and get info too. A helpful tip from one of the quilters here (don't remember who) is to print them out and keep them by your computer.
THANKS SOOOOOOO MUCH - Very Helpful - I've saved it to a "Quilting" folderl.

    Have a blessed evening :D
