Cancer quilt
#1
One of my co-workers has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I used the siggy block (like our exchange blocks) and had staff sign them. I put together a lap size quilt for her to take to her chemo sessions.
Total time on this project: Thursday & Friday for signatures at school. Saturday & Sunday (with time off during a 3 hour power outage) for making the top. Quilted and binding on Monday. Presented to Deb on Tuesday. 5 days total.
She happens to love the color purple-the ribbon color for pancreatic cancer-and she loves her quilt. She also collects bears-so I added a few. The rest of the fabrics are all out of my stash.

The quilt is beautiful and it was very thoughtful of you to do this. Love your use of color and various block designs. It all blends beautifully. I hope she does well; that's a nasty cancer. Glad to hear that she loved the quilt. :)
