    I love it. My son is a Marine, would love to make this, but as a beginner, I've got a bit to go before attempting such a square.

    This was my first paper piecing project. It was a challenge, but if you take your time and use Candlequilter's tutorial you could do it. You have to know how much you want to push yourself though and I will admit that there were times when I thought I was the dumbest quilter on the planet.

    Nice job! I have only done paper piecing with a Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern and it's still not finished. But I love having something in my hands when "watching" (more like listening) to TV or in the car.

    Thank you all for your very kind words. I really love Candlequiter's pattern and for her being so generous in sharing it with us. I have learned a new technique and as I found since I joined this board, this is a place filled with love of quilting and the sharing of love for each other.
