    Here is my first attempt at paper piecing and my first of Candlequilter Star.

    My thought when I picked out the fabrics was autumn but now that I'm looking at the photo I see spring ;-)

    I now understand what volcanoing means because it took a good deal of pressing to get it reasonably flat.

    Also, I'll have to put a note in the package to Candlequilter because one of the seams is so scant, it will need to be quilted heavily!

    I have a patriotic colorway chosen so I'll make a second one hoping I can send one with fewer point errors and best seam allowances!

    I love the center fabric!!! My star also came out less than flat. I'm hoping Candlequilter can "quilt that out"!
