    Hello Cathie; I haven't been on the Board for a long time but notice your star, it is beautiful. I've not read all the history relating to this topic but notice in Maggie Malone 1001 Patchwork Designs 1982 Pattern No.862 page 175 that this star seems to have been adapted from Tennessee Star.

    I read a few pages in the topic but not had time to go back to the beginning - are there other stars in this particular quilt ?

    It looks beautiful!! I think the challenge is in piecing the sections and making the intersections right for sharp points. Yours is beautifully done!
