    here is the top with the new center that I have made for it in the right colors. what do you girls think? (guys too) I hope that you can see it okay. I am thinking about adding the dark green as a boarder. not sure yet. will have to see how much of the dark green I have left.

    It is beautiful. As I looked at it I thought it would look good with a narrow white border then a wider green or blue. It would look like a matted picture with the narrow white. I have been wanting to try one like that. Love it.

    That is a pretty amazing quilt top for somebody who is "very new"!! Well done. I like #2, but am stumped as to the quilting.

    thank you. it went together really easy. I am thinking about taking it to a local long arm quilter and seeing what they have to say about how I should quilt it.

    The mariner's compass block is outstanding - but I think it makes the other blocks look chunky and clunky.

    And the other blocks are very pretty, too.
